GRIGORY HAPPY (Diogo Lopes)
Diogo Lopes studied at the Academia Contemporânea do Espectáculo in Porto, Portugal, and at LISPA (London International School of Performing Arts). He has been performing, devising, teaching, and directing Physical Theatre and Clown since 2001 in Portugal, Spain, France, UK and USA. In the Twin Cities he has performed with Live Action Set’s “The Happy Show”, for the Minnesota Fringe Festival with “The Ballad of the Pale Fisherman” and “Red Resurrected” , the Children’s Theatre Company’s production of “Babe – The Sheep Pig”, “The King Is Dead” (in development) and “Pinocchio” both directed by Jon Ferguson. He is, with his wife Isabel Nelson, the co-founder and co-artistic director of the ensemble Transatlantic Love Affair.
Baba Happy(Rachel Petrie)
Rachel Petrie is an independent performing, teaching, and visual artist from St. Paul, MN. She received her Bachelor's degree in Choral/Classroom Music Education from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities (2007), where she also studied Theatre Arts. She's a company member of Four Humors Theater since April of 2010 (Deviled Eggs, Romeo and Juliet, The Age of Wordsworth, You Only Live Forever Once, The Extraordinary Terms of Ordinary Life, and Skinner Box).She has also performed with the National Theatre for Children, Bedlam Theatre, Mixed Precipitation, Live Action Set, and The Loring Theater. Rachel also co-created and performed in the 2009 Minnesota Fringe Festival favorite The Finkles’ Theater Show!!!, which has since won the 2010 Cincinnati Fringe Producer’s Pick Award, and toured to the Montreal and Winnipeg Fringe Festivals in 2011. Upcoming projects: Jenga! at the Brave New Workshop (Feb. 2012).
Vaklav Happy (Garrett Vollmer)
Garrett Vollmer is a senior at the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities getting his B.A. in Theater. He is active in the theater community around the Twin Cities, and was most recently seen in "Skinner Box" with Four Humors Theater. He is simply thrilled to be working with such a awesome group of talented people for this show, and cannot wait to do it again!
Zoya Happy (Isabel Nelson)
Isabel Nelson is a performer, director, and theatre creator in the Twin Cities. A Lecoq-trained graduate of the London International School of Performing Arts, she has performed with Jon Ferguson Theatre (S. Gunter Klaus and the Story Before), Four Humors (Welcome to Dystopia), and Live Action Set (The Happy Show, LOTR), among others. Directing credits include: Ballad of the Pale Fisherman (self-produced, Fringe 2010), Red Resurrected (self-produced, Fringe 2011), Twelve Ophelias (Asst. Dir, Macalester College), and 'Tis A Gift (Black Dirt Theater, Hastings). She's thrilled to be treading the boards with these dear friends and lovahs, and thinks theatre like this is about as much fun as one can have with their clothes on. Viva la Happy Crazy New Year!
Velee "Magnificent" Happy (Noah Bremer)
As a director or actor/creator, Noah Bremer has collaboratively created more than 40 original theatrical works. He received an Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board in 2005. Also that year, the Star Tribune and City Pages recognized his co-creation of Please Don't Blow Up Mr. Boban, with the latter naming him Artist of the Year. Noah recently returned from Europe and Asia performing as The Skywatcher in Varekai by Cirque du Soleil.
Happy Happy (Tyler Olsen)
Tyler Olsen is a theater maker, artist, and entrepreneur here in the Twin Cities. He went to college at Bemidji State University, attended and taught at the Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theater in Blue Lake, CA, attended wilderness survival school at the Tom Brown Tracker School in New Jersey, and most recently graduated from the OnPoint Tactical Urban Escape and Evasion Course in Philadelphia. Current projects include PERSEPHONE with Woodbury High School, The New Comedy Festival, an adaptation of Frankenstein with composer Nicholas Olof Jacobson Larson, Arts Administrating for Rosetown Playhouse, promoting the city of St. Paul with STPAULISCOOL.com, and trying to cause mayhem and community wherever he goes... Help wanted.
